Dinner with Gram

Went to dinner with Gram tonight. Joaquin was being such a ham, throwing his arms up in the air, and getting this delirious look on his face everytime we gave him a bite of chocolate. He's my little crazybaby.

Birthday Baby!

It was Joaquin's birthday on the 19th. From his sweet little face waking me up in the morning to his tiny little eh-eh-ehs waking me up in the middle of the night, we made it one year together!! I've spent almost every minute with him, and honestly, I know this sounds funny, but I'm so honored to be his mom. He makes me so happy!!! And everyday, I think, I couldn't possibly love him any more than I do in this moment, but then I think, no, no, no, this kind of love is unlimited. --How long do you want to be loved? I Did It Myself, Mom!

Joaquin can do lots of things by himself: he can clap, he can wave hi and bye-bye, he can lift his arms over his head when you ask "how big are you?", and he can (kind of) drink from a cup that's not a sippy. But the very first thing Joaquin learned to do for himself was get his pasa and shove it in his mouth. Actually, at first he shoved in backwards into his ear but whatever...the point is, mama's baby is getting big!
